FAQ

Sizing

What size lanyard do I purchase?

For Mini and Luxe lanyards, the most common sizes are 50” and 55”.

Recommended sizing by height:

  • 50” – up to 5’9”

  • 55” – up to 6’0”

  • 60” – up to 6’3”

  • 65” – 6’4” and up

Because Jumbo lanyards are thicker, they fit more snugly. For this reason, 55” and 60” are the most common sizes.

Recommended sizing by height:

  • 50” – up to 5’6”

  • 55” – up to 5’9”

  • 60” – up to 6’0”

  • 65” – 6’1” and up

Additional Fit Considerations

Sizing is primarily based on height; however, we recommend sizing up if you:

  • Have a fuller bust

  • Wear plus sizes

  • Frequently FaceTime or wear your phone higher on your body

Custom Lengths

  • 70” lanyards and shorter sizes for children are available by custom order.

  • Please contact us for customization options.

Proper Fit Tip

When your lanyard fits correctly, you should be able to place your phone comfortably into the front pocket of your pants while the lanyard remains attached. If this isn’t possible, you may prefer a longer size.

Please note:
Classic lanyards are currently available in one standard size: 50”.

Attaching Your Phone to the Lanyard

How do I attach my phone to the lanyard?

Your phone attaches to the lanyard using a phone tether.

Do I need to purchase a phone tether separately?

No. Every lanyard purchase includes one phone tether.

What if I misplace my phone tether?

Replacement phone tethers are available for $5.00.

Do I need a phone case to use the lanyard?

Yes. The lanyard attaches to your phone case, not directly to your phone. A case is required.

Are there any phone cases that are not compatible?

Most phone cases are compatible. Your case must have:

  • At least one opening at the bottom for the charging port

Cases with built-in strap loops on the bottom corners are also compatible. Incompatible cases are rare.

Can I charge my phone while the tether is installed?

Yes. The phone tether does not interfere with charging.

Additional FAQs

Why is there an upcharge for pink lanyards?

Pink supplies are often harder to source and occasionally unavailable. To maintain our quality standards, an upcharge applies when pink materials are available. At Vanity By Alexis, sourcing premium materials is always a priority, and at times pink may not be offered.

Can lanyards be customized?

In most cases, yes. Stone color, hardware, length, and width may be customized, though availability can vary. Please contact us for customization inquiries.

I notice a glue smell—how long will it last?

If the glue scent is strong, remove the lanyard from its packaging and allow it to air out for several days before use.

My lanyard feels sticky. Is this normal?

This can happen occasionally. The stickiness typically resolves within 2–3 days of wear.

How to Attach Your Phone to the Lanyard

Directions

  1. Remove your phone from its case and set it aside.

  2. On one end of the lanyard, you will find two attachments:

    • Phone tether

    • O-ring (with a spring clasp)
Detach the O-ring and set it aside.

  3. Place the phone tether inside the phone case.

  4. Insert the looped end of the tether through the charging port opening from the inside of the case.

  5. Place your phone back into the case, ensuring the tether is sandwiched securely between the phone and the case.

  6. Attach the O-ring to the loop of the phone tether.

  7. Clip the lanyard hooks onto the O-ring.

You’re all set—enjoy your new bling
